The giveaway

You want the result, you fear the giveaway.

A veneer should disappear into you. Most people who ask have already seen the version that goes wrong, too white, too even, too much; a smile that announces itself before the person does. That worry is well founded.

Most veneers show because they are made to a template, the same white, the same length on every tooth. Your own teeth were never uniform, so uniformity is exactly what reads as false. What prevents it is proportion measured to your face, colour layered by hand, and a bite checked so it feels like nothing.

How the smile is designed, step by step

What porcelain veneers really are

Porcelain veneers are thin, custom ceramic facings bonded to the front teeth to refine colour, shape, proportion and function. The real question is never whether they work; it is whether anyone can tell.

In Jumeirah (Dubai), Dr. Omar Fabbro makes them so that virtually no one can. Each unit designed to harmonise with your face, not to a standard shape or colour: what changes is the detail, never the person.

Before anything is permanent

You see your smile before it is real.

Nothing is bonded on hope. Your smile is designed, then previewed: a mock-up you wear and look at in the mirror, live with, adjust, and approve before a single tooth is changed for good. If it isn’t right, it isn’t made. The first time, the feeling should be relief, not surprise, it already looks like you.

How your teeth meet, how your bite carries load, how your face frames a smile. The plan is drawn from you, not a catalogue.

  2. Design, the porcelain-veneer process
    02Design

Your smile designed to your features, to their proportion, line and character, so it looks like it always belonged there.

  3. Preview, the porcelain-veneer process
    03Preview

You wear a mock-up and approve it in the mirror. Nothing is made permanent until it is right.

  4. Craft, the porcelain-veneer process
    04Craft

The ceramic is layered by hand in the laboratory, to the design you approved. No uniform block.

  5. Placement, the porcelain-veneer process

Bonded and checked against your bite, so the result feels like nothing at all, because it works like your own teeth.

Handmade ceramic veneers, macro detail of enamel-like translucency

The look of enamel cannot be milled.

The craft

Enamel is not one colour. Light enters it and comes back changed, warmer at the edge and deeper at the base, and that is the quality your eye reads as “natural” without knowing why. A machine cannot mill it. A hand can layer it, the way a painter builds a glaze, which is why the veneers are made by hand, in a partnered Italian laboratory, one tooth at a time.

For the front of your smile Dr. Fabbro does not use full zirconia: it is harder than the enamel it bites against, too opaque to look alive, and difficult to bond well. The front teeth deserve the material that behaves like enamel, not the one that behaves like stone.

In the laboratory the work is slow on purpose. The ceramic is layered, fired, held to the light, and layered again, until the tooth stops looking made and starts looking grown.

Is it for you

For sound teeth that no longer match you.

Veneers suit teeth that are healthy but uneven in colour, shape or proportion, the gap between how your smile looks and how you feel. If the real problem is deeper, worn teeth, a bite that never settled, old work that keeps failing, veneers alone will not hold, and Dr. Fabbro will tell you so. Those cases are rebuilt, not resurfaced.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Can you replace veneers I already have?
Yes. Existing veneers and crowns can be assessed and replaced, though a second set is a harder case than the first: the tooth beneath has already been prepared once, and whatever caused the first set to fail is usually still present. The margins, the gum and the bite are diagnosed before anything is removed.
Will people be able to tell I have veneers?
Done properly, no. The giveaway is uniformity: the same white, the same shape on every tooth. When the veneers are designed to your face and layered by hand, they read as your own teeth, only softer and even.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
Well-made ceramic veneers last many years. Longevity comes from the design and the bite beneath them, not from a warranty number. A veneer built on a sound bite lasts; one layered over an unaddressed problem does not.
Do veneers damage the teeth?
Preparation is kept minimal, and where your case allows, the teeth are barely reduced, or not at all. The aim is always the least done for the most natural, lasting result.
How much do veneers cost in Dubai?
It depends on your case: how many teeth, the condition underneath, the planning involved. There is no single price; the consultation is where it becomes clear, honestly and in full.
How long does it take?
Usually a few unhurried appointments over several weeks: the examination and design, the mock-up you approve, then the crafting and placement. The pace follows the work, never a package.
What if I don't like the preview?
Then it isn't made. You approve the mock-up in your own mouth first; nothing becomes permanent until it is right for you. That is the point of previewing it.

A consultation is an examination, a diagnosis, and an honest answer, including, if it is the truth, that you need very little at all.
